Abstract
The article presents the results of 50 years investigation of the Stone Age Kansk-Rybinsk basin based on the 8 major sites (Kazachka I, Strizhovaia Gora, Brazhnoe, Potanchet III-IV, Popikha, Mezensk). The description of geomorphological and stratigraphic situation, the results of radiocarbon dating and date interval of sedimentation by residual magnetization, analysis of stone splitting technology makes it possible to clarify the chronological scheme and periodization of the Stone Age in Kansk-Rybinsk basin. A complete analysis is given 10 chronological stage of Stone Age in the time interval from 35 to 4,5 ka BP. The Paleolithic is divided into 4 stages (II layer of Brazhnoe site, XVIV–IV layers of Strizhovaia Gora, IV layer of Mezensk site, V layer of Potanchet III, IV layer Potanchet IV 35–10,5 ka BP), the Mesolithic has 3 period (XX–VIII layers of Kazachka I, III layer of Strizhovaia Gora, II layer of Shumikha site, I layer of Brazhnoe, III layer of Potanchet IV, III layer of Potanchet III, IV layer of Popikha 10,5–7,5 ka BP), the Neolithic – 3 stages (VII–III layers of Kazachka I, III layer of Popikha, IV layer of Zelenogorsk I, III layer of Mezensk site, 7,5–4,5 ka BP).
