Abstract

Site Ust’-Kova I (point 2) was discovered and investigated on a small area in 1979–1980 by North-Angara archaeological expedition which was organized by Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University. During the rescue work in 2009–2010 it has been established that subsurface stratigraphy is different over the whole area of the site. Findings which dating from the Neolithic before Middle Ages had been located on the sections on the top levels of terrace (excavation area 2) and were concentrated in a bench. The thickness of geological horizons of the lower levels (trench 1) had allowed to separate the materials of the 1st and the 2nd living surfaces.
