Abstract

The monuments of Andronovo culture on the territory of Kuznetsk-Salair mountain area are located in the central region of Kuznetsk basin and Achinsk-Mariinsk forest. Crockery is the main category of material culture of Andronovo population of Ob-Chulym region. Comb and smooth stamps determined the ornamental cultural specification and a proportion of other ways of applying ornaments determines a region or monument. Funeral monuments are divided into mounds and non mounds. Particular Andronovo features of the eastern regions are mounds and ground (baby) cemetery, cremation and inhumation rites, prevailing southwestern orientation, wooden in-grave structures such as frames, composition of the accompanying equipment, types of vessels, ornamental and decorative technique. Achinsk-Mariinsk monuments differ from ones of Kuznetsk basin by less depth graves, absence of mounds and a number of graves more than two, double decker frames and coated frames on continental ledges, the presence of cover over the grave. Some of these features make them close to the Andronovo burials of Tomsk Ob region. For Kuznetsk basin it is common to have mounds with additional constructions, big number of graves - 2 to 6 (more than 50 %), different in-grave constructions with double decker frames, wooden poles, more stable ornamentation than in neighboring areas.
