Abstract

Historical and geographical data are depicted in the article, dedicated to the anniversaries in the life of Baikal-Siberian scientific archeology, "created and set" at the Irkutsk State University in 1918, furthermore spread all over Soviet and Russian Middle Asia in the 20th century. The article tells us about three heroes of the day. First one and the most important - the Irkutsk State University of 1918 and its first scientific branch of the Historical department. This date, 95 years, has a strong subcontinental meaning not only among archeologists. 1962-1963 were marked with the creation of the Laboratory of Archeology and Ethnography - that was the second "birth" in the history of University and Historical department. In 2013 the 20th anniversary was celebrated for the unique branch of the University - Irkutsk Joint Laboratory of Archeology and Paleoecology of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography SB RAS. This laboratory was created in 1993 on the base of SIC "Baikal region" and the department of Archeology and Ethnography to optimize the academic and scientific efforts in Siberia. In the subject of the "subcontinental scale" included numerous regional and domestic events. They are hard to split as the connections between them are far from formal. The given facts are described in the article with the help of essay reportage style. Another variant doesn't seem possible to be chosen.
