В статье рассмотрены некоторые ключевые вопросы, связанные с подходами к понятию «сырьевые стратегии» в палеолитоведении. Основная часть работы посвящена дискуссии с работой А. Н. Сорокина «Сырьевые стратегии в практике палеолита», опубликованной в журнале «Известия Иркутского государственного университета. Серия Геоархеология. Этнология. Антропология» за 2014 г. Е. В. Дороничева на примере стоянок Северо-Западного Кавказа доказывает применимость понятия «стратегии» в отношении эпохи палеолита, рассматривает проблему мобильности древнего человека.
